If you have traveled to our website lately you may have noticed three little words staring at you from the bottom right corner: Chat with us! While these words are self-explanatory, what they don’t tell you is that this has been an adventure two years in the making. Allow me to elaborate.
Two years ago we decided to totally revamp our website, and after plenty of high level collaboration with a local creative agency, Elegant Seagulls, our vision became the reality that you currently see when you go to vastsolution.com. Part of the collaboration that I just mentioned was the Elegant Seagulls team sitting down with a handful of our employees and asking “What do you think would be cool for the website to have?” The ability for clients to live chat with us was one of the first things that came up. Right away everyone in the room said, “THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!” That’s when the real work started.
Without getting too far into the weeds, I will simply say that it took a lot of fine tuning, but eventually we were able to agree on both a platform and a plan that we all are happy with. Since February 1st, we have now been able to offer this exciting new avenue of communication to our clients. Even when we aren’t able to chat, you can leave us a message that will get a reply within 24 hours. We are also thrilled that this gives our clients more choices for a mode of contact that suits them best. I have to circle back to the fine tuning, because during the creation process our mantra for the online chat was that it was our “Ferrari in the garage.” Now that it has been up and running for nearly a month, it is safe to say that the Ferrari is on the road!
